[SA, NSW, QLD] Free TAFE Courses Giving Certificates and Microcredentials
This is an overview of completely FREE courses from Australian TAFEs. Not fee-free, or discounted to Australians in-state, but free.
Despite the added moderator tagging of [SA, NSW, QLD] you do not need to be present in any of those states to do these courses and earn these qualifications. You can be anywhere in the world.
The cream of the crop:
TAFE South Australia

AI Essentials: Getting Started with Artificial Intelligence
Called a microcredential, but a certificate is awarded, with a verification code. This is the only such free course TAFE SA offers. But registering for this gets you a TAFE SA edu.au email address, which you can use or just have forwarded to your other email. That enables signing up for student discounts with UniDAYS and the like, or getting educational discounts on computers. This is what OzBargain users dream of.
TAFE New South Wales

TAFE NSW splits its free certificates and "badges" into Digital (IT, intros to AI, SQL, etc.) or Construction (which includes some more IT with a construction slant).
Badges are awarded with public urls, so you can easily tell others about them, but you need to login to keep track of them all. Badges are not OpenBadge-compatible, so you can't import them into an existing wallet.
These have been mentioned here over the years, but this year they rebranded both and hired a graphic designer for better-looking output. If you've earned them before, and you didn't like the pale blue (IT) or pink (construction was pink?) badges, order them again from the same email address and account, and you'll also get the new badges automatically. At a different url, so you can prove that you have completed each course twice.
There are also construction certificates on Water Management (5 badges, 2 certs), asbestos issues in installation, and food waste.
TAFE Queensland

Queensland TAFE awards microcredentials across a wide range of areas, with about one hundred courses on workplace to hydrogen, mining, community, drones… These are at public urls and OpenBadge compatible, where the 2.0 format can be imported into a Credly wallet.
I came to Australia after my studies, but now I have over one hundred of these credentials and certificates! And a foot in the Australian academia and maximum credibility in the Australian job marketplace. My resume is six pages long!
All thanks to the Power of Free TAFE!
