Booked a Virgin flight this morning and was shown a promotional offer for the Westpac Altitude Velocity Black Credit Card. The offer includes an extra 30,000 Velocity Points on top of the standard bonus, increasing the total from 90,000 to 120,000 points once minimum spend is met. The annual fee is also reduced from $295 to $200 for the first year.
The real win is that the link appears to be generic, meaning it doesn’t seem to be tied specifically to my booking and seems to be usable by anyone. I’m not sure how long this offer has been live, as I don’t book with Virgin very often.
What makes this even better is that, when paired with Virgin’s current 30,000 bonus Velocity Points offer, the total comes to 150,000 Velocity Points after meeting all eligibility and spend requirements.
